such raucous clamor

as rainbeads hammer

upon tile roofs

and predawn alleys

their voices sound like laughter

merged into the one hereafter

they loose the own identity

become part of puddlicity

i hear some raindrops scream

as they try to defy the stream

as if a scream can make them rise

plummeting to their demise

other skydivers squeal with glee

as they approach the liquid scree

embrace their imminent merger

does the squeal impel the surger

brainbeads become knotty

as rainbeads get spotty

the errant torrent quells

as clouds recharge their spells

yet still the clamor continues

and soon another storm ensues

as puddles swirl underfoot

accumulated brainbeads stay put
