artemis one

she watches over
the huntsman’s shoulder
while all the lambs
are tucked in bed

she watches the wild
both young and older
the ewes and rams
herd in this stead

she lights the dark
as nights grow colder
while yesterday’s yams
swim in my head

i hear the call
of desert plover
as patient cams
spin thicker thread

while in the halls
of silent snover
quiet cryptograms
weave hacker cred

she lights the dark
as nights grow colder
while yesterday’s yams
swim in my head

she watches the wild
both young and older
the ewes and rams
herd in this stead

she watches over
the huntsman’s shoulder
while all the lambs
are tucked in bed
