wakka wakka crescent

before the night birds come calling

my eyes look to the crescent moon
orion shooting at the rocky planets
deep blue tapestry makes me swoon
the moon is like a wakka wakka
munching up the stars
its stellar feeding frenzy
has devoured venus and mars
i await the stellar ghosts’ return
as zeus still reigns on high
my mind blends both nears and fars
as the ghosts prepare to fly
my munching moon plays a tune
that echoes in the night
i dance the wakka wakka dash
not worrying if it’s right
