foaming

cheshire cat is
foaming at the mouth
her madness boils over
glowing north to south

fade in
fade out
what’s this drama
all about

invisibleness defeated
in this sloppy sheen of madness
her purr drones on and on
within murky merry gladness

fade in
fade out
what’s this drama
all about

in her foaming morning madness
her entire face reflected
in ambiguous grin or grimace
her thousand teeth purrfected

she shines her smile
in her cheshire way
yet soon she’ll fade
this cat she cannot stay

yet still she shines on
tangled in the cosmic yarn
scrambling from the burning
of the grand celestial barn

her madness drips along the way
running from the light of day
spreading silly as she plays
this wild cat must stray
