dewwy

dew descends
my eyes rise
my mind ascends
awaits surprise

she hides in shadow
draped in veils
await the morrow
when red prevails

my midnight herald
trumpets the hour
she cannot be cajoled
to reveal her power

others in
her red glow bask
let me in
is all i ask

yet my eyes remain
clearly clouded
within my maya
solely shrouded

i cannot see her
eclipsed by us
i could blame the weather
or say what’s the fuss

but even in my fog
i know her radiant glow
marked on my chronolog
even without the show
