caught between two muses
one permeates one effuses
their moods seem in lockstep
when the short one plays coy
the tall one refuses

yet when one truly listens
distinction duly glistens
each has their phases
as one wanes
the other waxes

the short one rules midnight
commands the inky sky
to follow the subtle way
tall towering muse reigns the day
inspiring those who go astray

this amusing pair
has ideas to spare
they sprinkle them
between our thoughts
when we least expect

kokopelli of insight
dancing day and night
spreading seeds in fertile minds
we must tend the harvest
blessed by muses twice
