bluebell

one day you’re riding high
the next you wear a sigh

it eluded my comprehension
how you sunk into deep depression
that your mood needed tight compression
clinging to old belief suspension

oh how you tried to escape
wearing your bright red cape
but life threw you a curve ball
your spirits continued to fall

your poor precipitated position
left you in unfair condition
one day you were riding high
the next the end drew nigh

so hard to say goodbye to you
old triple one aught triple two
oh dear old beloved bluebell
i wish you well i wish you well

oh dear old beloved bluebell
out to pasture i had to sell
so now i lay you down to sleep
perchance to dream long and deep
