dryadic dreams

black fingers rise above the grey
not those of pentaphalangeal pointed persons
of the quadradecimal kind
but those of the polyphalangic
purveyors of great green magic

out of this barren mist i pray
before this trepidatious condition worsens
if only we could rewind
pause before the onset tragic
prior pouncy plummet thermic

so soon i hope warm winds will play
with nigh embuddening plentiful pollens
of plethoric species and kind
february calls friends xeric
soon their boughs be laden xanthic

skies painted yellow soon shall sway
painted by dazzling dryadic brushes and pens
in every flooded gutter find
fine festive feathered friends frolic
spring uncoils such sweet scrolls karmic

Delightful lyrical expression and phraseology make this homage to nature a very pleasure to read. I greatly enjoyed this . Very well done.
