phat tuesday

phat and phrosty
glassified memos
written on the windshield
reflected in their sheen
chill shrubhoppers preen

tuesday just got phatter
ain’t tryin’ to flatter
but your chirps and cawing banter
pour like an emcee’s voice from a decanter

phat and phrosty
i got my hot jug
pulled close to my belly
wearing Tahitian shorts
though i not be playin’ sports

phoenix don’t need frosty
we need hot like a skillet
bring on the stoic quadragesimal
as much prelude as its own festival

frontglass is clear
dripping from the melt
tuesday just got phatter
when upon my knee i knelt
replaced my jug with a belt
