pale prelude precipitation

no longer part of the solution
fiercely falling from grace
great marathoners’ race
not a single one can you trace

no longer part of the solution
from curvaceous cumulations
form countless culminations
descending distributed sea

dervish of the skies
dropping your dew
bliss ends too soon
exodus subsides

rather be teased
than neglected
pristine sheen
draws forth green

beneath each green boughed tree
painted sidewalks stippled pale glee
rehearsal for the coming coats
of yellow rain filling moats

great tapestry of land
painted across each mile
spectral brushes phantom hand
behold this artist’s style
